I would love to have any info that you might have on these families....
John P. Thomas is in the 1900 census, living in the county jail, with his family... There was a lot of other people living there, and just 2 men were listed as prisoners... I saw a picture of the Jail, at Benjamin, and it didn't look that big....

I also had several of my Herring ancestors living around there ,Mary Margaret Herring died in Knox City in 1939.
