Robert Cameron Biffle born Dec 1898 to George Biffle and Sarah Lydia Gore died 02 Jan 1976 Knox City, Knox County. Sarah Lydia Gore Biffle age 22, son Lee G age 3 and Robert C are residing in Sarah's parents household in 1900 Justice Precinct 5, Comanche County, "Johan T" Gore age 58, Mary J CARTER Gore age 49.

Sarah Lydia then married a Hobson and died in Knox City 21 Apr 1950. R.E.L. Gore's wife did not die in Knox or Parker county.

Robert E. Lee Gore was born 21 Nov 1879, Wise Co, TX, to John Thomas GORE and Mary Justine CARTER. He died in Knox City, Knox County, TX on 25 Nov 1955. He is buried in the Knox City Cemetery. His death certificate states that he was widowed, information was given by R. C. Biffle, Knox City.

I have most of the Gore family information, just haven't been able to fill in this particular family unit. Thanks for any help!

Historic name of Hispanic Cemetery located east of Rhineland

We am looking for the historic name for the cemetery located approximately one mile east of downtown Rhineland off CR 4260. The cemetery appears to have been active from 1920's to 1940's. It is fenced and contains exactly one acre. I have researched the deeds, death records and published history of Rhineland without finding any mention of the cemetery. We are in the process of designating it a Historic Texas Cemetery and would prefer to use the historic name.

It's possible that he might be a son of my ancestor, Joshua Lawrence Horne (b. 1822 or 23 in Metcalfe, GA d. 1886 in Ozark, AL married to Elizabeth Motley b. in GA in 1823). Bejamin Mastin Horne was a son of his who is my direct descendent. Tobey Horne was another son I've validated. I know that Joshua and Elizabeth had a large family, but I haven't managed to track down all of their names.

My grandfather was Dud Ellis of Knox County. I moved to Texas in the late 70's. I married Tommy Shaw from gilliand and moved to Fort Worth. His father was Owen Shaw. His brothers Elmo or Alfred Elmo Shaw, Aljernon Not sure if I spelled that correct, Elmo worked for many years as did tommy at the ranch.
Both have since passed but I have love and insight into the shaw family if you are interested.

Joyce, I recently did a little research concerning this family.
Richard Black was from Wayne County, Ky and you will find him on page 101a Dristrict 5 P.O. Monticello in 1870. age 45 with wife Franky age 46, Isaac 20, Benjamin 18, James T. 16 Mathew 11, George M. 9 Lemuel 7 and Mary F. 4.
Still in Wayne County, KY in 1880, p. 563d in Sinking. Richard E. Black 55 Francis J 55 Theopholus 22, Mathew 20, George W. 18 Lemuel F. 15 and Mary F 14.
In 1900 Knox County, TX, Francis is found in Benjamin R. Black household with granddaughter Nettie.
In 1910 Knox County, TX, p. 21b, Frances is found in Wid Myers household who had married Nettie Black. She is 85 wd. Had 9 children of which 5 are alive.
Hope that helps you. Would the WFT vol 4, tree 315 be your information on the Black / Hollers families? Both these Blacks and Myers are my families. The Myers are my husband's side and the Blacks are related to my dad's side of the family. Cyndy

John P. Thomas is in the 1900 census, living in the county jail, with his family... There was a lot of other people living there, and just 2 men were listed as prisoners... I saw a picture of the Jail, at Benjamin, and it didn't look that big....

I also had several of my Herring ancestors living around there ,Mary Margaret Herring died in Knox City in 1939.

My grandfather, James Lemuel Hollers was in the 1910 Soundex for Knox Co., Tx. with wife, Mattie Mayes Hollers and children. He was a Methodist Circuit Riding preacher and preached in many towns of North and North Central Texas.
One of James Lemeul Hollers' uncles, Richard E. Black was also in Knox Co., Tx.
Can anyone give me any information on either of these families?

Yes, Richard E. Black was older brother of my Amanda Black who married Alberton Hollers. One of their sons, James Lemuel Hollers who married Mattie Elizabeth Mayes, was also in the 1910 Knox Co., TX census, if I remember correctly. Knew that Richard E. Black and his family came to TX., but have been unable to find out much more about this Black family, would like to locate someone who can tell me where Albert Hollers and Amanda (Black) Hollers are buried?
I found them last in Woodward Co., OK., can you help?

Johnnie Erwin Patton Fritz Quisenberry, my great aunt, is
buried in the Seymour, Texas cemetary with her first husband
John Fritz. She died in July, 1997. Her half brother Dray
is buried in El Paso where he died and is buried with his wife. Viola, possibly in a Masonic cemetary.

The online photo of my Aunt John is of John Fritz, not
Roy Quisenberry, her second husband.

My mother was Sari Kathryn Condron, the youngest daughter
of William Robert Condron and Catherine Belle Patton. My
mother was born September 17, 1916 and died August 25, 2006. Her older sisters were Jesse Irene and Robye Elizabeth Condron. My mother is buried in Benjamin, Texas
