A posted family tree:http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/48087560/person/12849693950?s...
shows John was born in 1818 in Jackson, Missouri; married 20 Oct 1840 to Henrietta Wicoff Hunter; and died 1885 in Paris, Lamar Co, TX. Death for Henrietta was shown as Mississippi. I have seen wrong States posted due to wrong belief of the initial, i.e. MS or MO. Problem with family trees...wrong information is posted somewhere and multiplies. Source for location of deaths were other family trees.
The Presbyterian Cemetery, AKA Chicota Cemetery did not show their names. The Evergreen Cemetery in Paris had five burials of Cummings, but not the known names. There were 91 John, last name beginning with Cumm buried in Texas. There were 21 Henrietta, last name beginning with Cumm buried in the US. None matched search criteria.
