You'll probably think I've lost it but he may have been born with a different first name?(lol) For my research, the "key" appears to have been nephew Leabert or Leavert C. Carpenter. His parents were Thomas Carpenter and Sarah O. Lee. Start in 1880 Al-Jackson-Not Stated-Image 108 and find family led by George A. Lee(27). On a limb, I'm stating four-year old son William C. became James C.! Note his sister Sarah(2). Skip over 1900 and lookup 1910 AL-Madison-Madison Crossroads-District 0132-Image 22 for Martha L. Lee(56). Find her widowed daughter Sarah O. Carpenter(32) and grandsons George E. Carpenter(12) and "Levert" C. Carpenter(1 3/12). Reverse to 1900 AL-Madison-Madison Crossroads-District 0111-Image 11 for family led by George Lee(47). The Carpenter-family found on Image 17. Opinion please?
