I am descended from Dr. Saladin Harris Wills who lived in the Groesbeck area from 1848. In his will he mentions property around Blains creek and other properties. His son, James Robert Wills (Jim Rob) married Emily Delilah Eugene George and raised his family around Oletha. Although he was buried in another county, her obituary in Waco in 1908 says that she was taken back to Oletha for burial.
I sure would like to find information about which cemetery she might have been buried in and any information about where Saladin Wills and his wife are buried.
In Saladin's will, he mentions wanting two funerals one at Cotton Gin near Teague and one at home where he lived. He was suppposed to be buried beside his first wife.
Are you by any chance familiar with the Wills family?
Or the George family?
William Eads George was supposedly the first Methodist minister in Groesbeck and two of his daughters married Wills boys and another daughter married a Lewis. I would like to find George graves as well.
Thank you very much,
