Justin Philip Hurst

Game Warden Justin Philip Hurst of El Campo died on March 17, 2007 on his 34th birthday. He was born in Wheatridge, Colorado.
He started his career with Texas Parks and Wildlife as a biologist August 31, 1995 after graduating from Texas A&M University with a BS in Wildlife Ecology. He graduated from the Texas Game Warden Academy in August of 2002. He was a member of Texas Game Warden Association, Texas Wildlife Association, Ducks Unlimited and CCA. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and served on the administrative board.
He is survived by: his wife, Amanda Wilcox Hurst of El Campo, formerly of Lewisville, Texas; four month old son, Kyle Hunter Hurst of El Campo; parents Allen and Pat Hurst of El Campo, formerly of Bryan; and brother Greg Hurst of Denver, Colorado.
Visitation will begin 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Triska Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Triska Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joyce McCormick officiating. Pallbearers are Aaron Koenig, Brent Cerny, Greg Hurst, Brannon Meinkowsky, Tommy Charbula, Craig Hernandez, Kevin Fagg and Barry Eversole.
