Funeral services for James C. Alexander, III, 39, of Bay City, will be held Saturday, April 29, 2000, at 2 p.m., at the Nichols Street Church of Christ in Bay City with Brother Joe Wrape, minister, Brother Elliott Moore, presiding, and Brother Bob Hughes, eulogies. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery in Bay City.
Visitation will be Friday until 9 p.m. in the Duncan - Roberts Funeral Home chapel.
He was born in Bay City, Texas, Sunday, Oct. 9, 1960, to James C. Alexander and Betty Bonner Alexander, and passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2000, at Hermann Hospital in Houston.
He attended Van Vleck and Sweeny High Schools, and later Texas Southern University in Houston. James was a member of Moore Avenue Church of Christ and at the time of his demise, was employed at Dow Chemical in Freeport.
Survivors include: his wife, Crystal Deadrick Alexander of Bay City; four sons, Derriest, Cameron and Jordon Alexander, of Bay City, and Brandon Hendricks of Conroe; his mother, Betty Jean Alexander; his grandmother, Nancy Bell of Cedar Lane; his mother-in-law, Jennie Deadrick of Bay City; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Priscilla Brown (and Calvin, Sr.) of Dallas, Debra Byrd of Houston, and Warren Deadrick of Katy; three nieces; one nephew; aunts; uncles; and other relatives and friends.
Serving as active pallbearers will be: Gary Paige, Gary Phillips, Derwin Ambroe, Daniel Young, Jr., Dennis Trotter, Reginald Petteway, Ernest Petitt, III, and Darnell Stredic.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Derriest, Cameron and Jordan Alexander, Brandon Hendricks, Frank Clay, Calvin Brown, Jr., Calvin Brown, Sr. and Charles Young.
Arrangements are with Duncan - Roberts Funeral Home in Bay City.
