Bertha Kennedy

Hi there:

Lookinfg for the burial place of Bertha Kennedy. Texas Death records show she passed away 7-6-194 in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas and was buried 7-7-1964 in Eagle Pass, Texas.

If there is an obit floating around out there I would like to know if it lists her husband or any children.

Mary Ana Denalsano was born in Eagle Pass Texas on May 9, 1909 and she passed away Feb 5, 1913 Eagle Pass Texas. She was a little daughter of Walto L. Denalsano and Mary Gaines Denalsano.

Also a sister Rozine Denalsano, b 1904 Eagle Pass, d?
and another sister Beulah Denalsano Shackland, b May 10,1903 Eagle Pass, died Oct 21, 1921 Eagle Pass. She was married to Jacob Shackland and later divorced. It is unknown if she married again. Help appreciated.

He's buried in Maverick County Cemetery aka Eagle Pass Cemetery. He and his wife identified on find a grave. Note, she preceded him in death and that agrees with his death certificate.

William J. O'Leary, Born 2 Jan 1896 – Died 28 Nov 1939

i am a volunteer researcher for the Texas Peace Officers Memorial. William J. O'LEARY was shipped to Eagle Pass for burial. I am searching for his place of burial.

Big Spring (Howard County) Assistant Chief William O'LEARY was shot and killed while he was struggling with a suspect in front of a grocery store. There were no witnesses to the shooting, but somehow suspects were immediately identified. Approximately one month later a prisoner committed suicide and left a note stating that he was the one who had killed O'LEARY. The note identified the location of the murder weapon, which was later linked through ballistics to the bullets recovered from O'LEARY's body.
O'LEARY had been with the agency for only five months. He was survived by his wife Agnes Gertrude Clifford and three children.

My husband's family lived in Quemado/Normandy in a rural area and still has one sister that lives there. Will see if she remembers any of those mentioned. "The Eagle" was the Eagle Pass newspaper until a bit ago and is no longer in publication. Wonder who has those records for you to be able to find an obituary? Maybe inquire at the public library there.

I am writing to you from the State of Oregon, and am hoping to have assistance in locating an obituary from between June 15 - 20, 1966 for my Great Grandmother's brother, Benjamin (Ben)(William)(Bill) Franklin Partee. He passed away on June 15, 1966 in Val Verde Memorial Hospital. He was a resident of Normandy (Maverick County) and was married to Cleta May (Leddy) Partee.

I am also looking for the obituary for Cleta May (Leddy) Partee, his wife... she passed away Feb. 8, 1995 in Normandy (Maverick County).

They are both buried in Burial: Quemado Valley Cemetery Quemado, Maverick County, Texas. I would also appreciate it very much if someone could photograph the headstones for me.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide in me obtaining these obituaries.

You can get in touch with Alice Mendoza Chisum, she lives in Mexico and she has knowledge that her greatgrondmother was Mary Bass married with Willian Chisum, but we think that they gor more children beside Frank because one of their children name Milton who was our grandfather and they were his parents. I was born in Piedras Negras. My mother was Alicia Chisum. My grandfather was Milton Chisum, son of William Chisum and Mary Bass Chisum. My great grand parents are buried in Piedras Negras. My grandmother used to talk about my grandfathers brothers and sisters, William. Lure, who was a twin, Meg, Mary, and I think a Richard. We did have Bass relations in Piedras Negras. I remember a cousin called Lone and a brother of his called Ricardo. I could probably ask a relative in Piedras Negras to look for records. Do you have any idea of the year of their deaths.

Hi--can you see if there are any records for the marriage of Arba Dimmick (or Demick or Dimick) and Josephine Wernette? They lived in Eagle Pass and were married in 1873, and Josephine was Cathloic. Arba died in June 1880 and Josephine died in November of 1887. They also lost two children to death, Edward John (died July 1886) and Mary Louisa Catherine (not sure of date of death). There is a Gloria family in central Texas who raised my dad in the 1930s. I saw a record of them coming from a ranch near Jimenex, Coahuila, Mx. At that time some people from Jimenez and the area around it were baptized in Zaragoza, Coahuila, MX or Eagle Pass.

My mom used to live on the Edison Ranch back in the 1940s, along with a couple of brothers and even got married there. The family was surnamed Edison. This was in the area of Eagle Pass.

That is about all I know except that I think they also had a house in Corpus.

Hi Everybody: Last week I not only found the name of my great-grandfather, Donaciano Flores but also found the parents of my great-great grandparents, Cristobal Gonzales and Refugia Hernandez. I also found out that my maternal great-grandmother, Ana Maria Gonzales, also had a sister named Maximiniana Gonzales. Maximiniana Gonzales was married to Geronimo Garcia and had a daughter Guadalupe Garcia Gonzales. Guadalupe Gonzales was married to Juan Arredondo Mireles and they are the parents of my grandfather, Adelfo Mireles. I have been looking for these people for about 40 years so you can imagine my excitement.

I am now trying to find information on Donaciano Flores, Maximiniana Gonzales, Geronimo Garcia, Cristobal Gonzales and Refugia Hernandez. If you have some information on these people, please send it to me. It is amazing how just one name can open up so many other families. Thank you in advance for your help.

Florencio was said to be born in San Antonio abt 1855-1860. Sometime prior to his death in 1935 he left his family and moved to Tyler, Texas. Does anyone know how to contact the cemetary in Piedras Negras? Or of an on-line site with information on who is buried there?
There are three people I am interested in: Francis Means Bass, Mary Emelia Bass Chisum, and Richard A. "Lon" Bass. I have enough information to know the first two names are likely buried in Piedras Negras in 1898.

i know there is prob no relationship, but my grandmother was stella savage and her brother was a Harry............they claimed to be from oklahoma..............now, strangely, enuf, i am from Eagle Pass
