I haven't located Roxie's place of burial. Frank is buried in Francis, Pontotoc County, Oklahoma in the Denney Cemetery. Were Molly M. (1921), Perline (1924), Lloyd E. (1926), and Lucille (1928) Frank & Roxie's grandchildren? Didn't they have a daughter named Annie? What became of her? The children listed above are found on the 1930 Pontotoc County, Oklahoma census if I remember correctly.

I am trying to find my great-uncles Lonnie Perry b.1885 and Larkin Perry b.1888. They were sons of George Henry Perry and his second wife, Sally Ann Cole. The rest of the family moved to Arizona in 1901. There is documentation that Lonnie was briefly in Arizona at one time. Also, I have not been able to locate the family of Sally Ann Cole b.1859. Her parents were Eli Cole b.1819 and Matilda Ann Lowery b.1826 and she had a younger brother, Robert b. 1863. The last reference I have located was to an Alex Cole in the Sweetwater area during the time of WWI.

Thanks for your reply. You have answered some of my questions. I did receive an email saing that the father of W. R. ( who was born in 1872) was a Samuel Henderson and it also listed his wife's name but I accidently deleted it before I wrote the information down. I have wondered if Francis was Samuels second wife. W.R.'s obituary listed a Maggie Davis as a half sister but the only Maggie I can find buried in McCulloch Co. is a Goodnight.

Thanks a lot for your help.

I know very little about my paternal grandfather, Otto Barnes. My grandmother says he did not have a middle name. The only information I have been able to find out about him and his family is the following:

Otto Barnes was born 2/8/1904 in Brady, Texas (McCulloch County) and died 6/10/1974 in Fort Worth, Texas (Tarrant County)
At some point, when Otto was young, they apparently moved to Grapevine, Texas because my Grandmother (Mary Elizabeth "Foster" Barnes) says that they grew up together in Grapevine. She was 11 years younger than him (Born 10/20/1915). They had 3 sons: Larry Gene Barnes, Jimmy Barnes, and Lonnie Clayton Barnes (my dad).
Otto had a brother named Orban Lee Barnes
Orban married Florence M. Cate (Daughter of Anderson Cate)
They had a son named William D. Barnes (1/1/1923 - 12/17/1945)
And another son named Eddie Barnes
Eddie had a son named William Darrell Barnes (born and died 1957)
I believe that all of these (with the exception of my grandfather, Otto) are buried at the Lonesome Dove Cemetery. My Grandfather, Otto, is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery in north Fort Worth.
- I know plenty about my grandmother's family (the Fosters and Cates), but the above is all I know about the Barnes family. If anyone can point me in the right direction (I am new to genealogy) or provide me with information, I would be very grateful.

Steven Barnes

Still also pursuing lineage of George Perryman Moore, born Ga. 1855 or 1856, died 13 Nov 1931 in McCulloch County, married Dora Lavinia Jackson. I find him in McCulloch County 1900, 1910, 1920 censuses with wife Dora and children Isora, Ollie, Leo, Ruby, Matthew, and Odessa. He is buried in Brady. I still think this may be my George P. Moore from Marion County, Ga. 1900 census says his father born NC. I would appreciate any info. I have a "Moore Family Tree Georgia to Florida" on Ancestry.com with my user name MarcelTobias. See if you think he fits into this tree as my George P. Moore born 01 Jan 1855, s/o James Moore. This dob from our family bible. Or does any evidence of other parents? Or email me at mamoore1@comcast.net. Thanks.
Janet, thank you VERY much! I did a search on the McCulloch Co. Archives page and typed in the surname Adkins and it didn't return one single Adkins so I assumed that he wasn't buried in any of the cemeteries listed.
I do have his death certificate from the new LDS site.

Julie

Ryan Adkins - Cemetery Lookup - Can anyone help?

Is there a book on cemeteries in McCulloch County? Can anyone do a lookup for me and see if there is a listing for Ryan Adkins who died in 1925 or his father Wickliffe who died before 1910 or mother Nannie Adkins who died after 1930?
Ryan was killed in 1925 in Dallas by what they coined as the "Black Terror" serial killers who were robbing random people and his funeral records says he was buried in Brady, Texas.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Abt 1887 There was a wedding of the above people in or around Coryell County Texas. They were my Grandparents, his 1st wife July Turner who died at an early age while camped out on a local creek. My father was "About 10", being born in 1888. So this would have been abt 1898 or so. July Turner had a brother, Jesse Turner who had ca of his lip, which killed him eventually. The Turner Farme was located along the western border of Camp Hood, and Jesse Turner later sold a part of the old home farm to help build Camp Hood, now Fort Hood Texas which contains a large part of Cow House Creek. Anyone out there having information on this PLEASE get in touch.THANKS! Merkel Walters mertiger2@comcast.net
