Mrs. Alvin Roberts, 1933....who was she??

On Dec 22, 1933, Asa Rutland was killed in a pool hall shooting in Midland. The informant for his death certificate is listed as Mrs. Alvin Roberts.

Survivors were listed in the newspaper article about the killing as two 'foster' brothers, Noel and Floyd Everett of Big Lake. They were his half brothers and there was a half sister, Savannah, who was not listed as a survivor, but I suspect Mrs. Roberts may be Savannah. The information on the death certificate is too accurate for someone not close to Asa to know, specifically his father's name and that his father was born in MS. Asa's father died when he was two and his mother remarried to John Everett, so whomever Mrs. Roberts was, she was close enough to the family to know this information.

The newspaper article does say "the late John Everett" so it is not of the question that Mrs. Roberts was Asa's mother, Lavenia Bolt Rutland Everett.

Is there anyone in Midland who could look up a marriage record for Alvin Roberts? The closest I can get with a date is sometime after 1900 and before 1933.

Thanks for any help
