Found when cleaning out mother-in-law's things:Case #8406
Indictment for a Thurman Riggan for stealing a horse from P. Hurst :subpenas for witnesses with last names Hurst,Lynch,Holley Burke,Anderson and what looks like Durhamn
District Attorney looks like T. B. Henderson,district clerk looks like Henford not sure on some of the names because of the writing and the age of the documents there are five all together
Jury letter of conviction and sentencing I am not sure why she had these cannot find any of the names connected with the family these go from April 1885 to conviction (he pled guilty) May 1885 the crime happened in November 1884.
one does have the name Thomas Riggan but everything else says Thurman.
would like to know more or if these have a connection to any one in Milam county now
