Ferdinand Jackson Brown owned property with a mortgage per 1900 census.

Neighbors:

Albert H Hill owned property w/mortgage still in Pct 1 in 1930, owned property. South Bennett Road listed in margin 1930 census.

Levi Chapman owned property w/mortgage not listed after 1900 census

Jeptha M Tyson owned property w/mortgage, in 1920 census JP1, Goldthwaite town was listed as incorporated place then line was drawn through that & San Saba Road written in margine.

Malcum J McGregor owned property free of mortgage he was born abt 1838 and widowed by 1900 son Roy McGregor b abt 1879 neither found after 1900 in Mills county.

James C Bayley owned property free of mortgage he was born abt 1842 two sons Walter 1877 & Charles E 1887. James died in Temple in 1929 and was buried Pleasant Grove Cemetery on FM road 572, Goldthwaite. 1920 census Pct 1 town of Goldthwaite written and drawn thru lived on unnamed FM road, next page says San Saba Road. 1930 record for son Walter says Goldthwaite, 1935 lived in rural Mills county 1940 says Pct 1, Pleasant Grove Rd he may not have lived in same place as father. Charles Bayley lived in Pct 1 outside of Goldthwaite in 1940 on Old Brownwood Hwy around Center Point Road.

I think the county Tax Assessor's office has precinct maps. They should be able to direct you on how to look that up. phn 325 648 3879.

I find that Texas Hwy 16 runs from Goldthwaite to San Saba TX distance between the two towns is 21.85 miles.
