Elijah Boddie Pitts, son of Archibald Pitts and Elizabeth Wallace, born Jan. 1, 1813 in Hancock County, Ga. In the late 1840's he moved to Montgomery County, Texas where he married Evelyn Shannon July 11, 1849. He died March 18, 1899; she died May 10, 1893.
