"The Texas News" Jan 23 1869: Tragical affair at Montgomery County. Death of Wm McGraw (sic), county attorney, Mr Brown of San Antonio and two brothers named Oliver....... The brothers were Robert and John P. OLIVER, sons of Pauline HALL. The boys had a half sister Fanny (McGrew) WARD. William McGREW, county attorney had married Lucy (unk last name), and was a half brother to Robert & John OLIVER.

Pauline & Egbert OLIVER were in the 1850 census for Grimes Co, TX with children Frances, William, and Robert.

It is possible that Pauline first married a McGREW, perhaps William "Red Headed Bill" McGREW, then Egbert OLIVER who died in 1853 Montgomery Co, and third a man named HALL. The Oliver boys inherited money from estate of James PAUL of Galveston in 1861.

Can anyone shed any light on these people? We do know that our Wm Red Headed Bill McGREW did go back to TX after his arrest and release from Jail in AL.
