I am looking for the buriel spot of my G G Grandfather in Morris Co., Texas. His name was Jacob Shannon Black and he died in or around Dangerfield on 22 May 1872. Family history says that he was a sherif there at one time, but mostly a farmer. He was married first to Mary Millie Wakefield who died in 1861 and had two children. He married in 1867 to Sallie Barrett. They had two more children before he died in 1872. She had been married before to a Mr. Ogdon and after his death married a Mr. Betts. Anyone who might have information on Jacob Shanno,s place of rest or anything else about him when he lived in the county, I would love to hear from you!
