Not that simple and that's information usually known by descendants. Tribal membership, formal, requires registration and acceptance. Your tree indicates surname Carpenter(s) were residents of the southern states during the "forced relocation" to Indian Territory. That puts a damper on that surname? Marriage is another route to membership but you'll have to trace the person.
