My wife's great-great-grandfather Elijah Alexander "Alex" Copeland, according to family legend, is believed to be buried at Vega, Oldham County, Texas. Problem is that I don't have a place of burial...and worse yet, no date. His birthdate was January 21, 1871. He may have been a Native American; possibly Fort Sill Apache...told people he was Mexican 'cause he felt they were treated better than Indians. Does anyone have cemetery burial lists for Vega, Texas?
