Mary MORRIS b. 1802 m. 1 Henry SMITH in Marengo Co., Ala in 1831. Following his death she m. Dr. Robert William BURNS in 1842, and later moved to Tx. She lived on land that was in Shelby and Panola Counties and also lived in Logansport La. until Dr. Burns was killed. Her SMITH children were:
Jacob b. 1833 m. Mary Ellen Johnson
Nancy Anne b. 1834 m. Benjamin F Powell
Noah b. 1836 m. Des Henry
Henry, Jr. b. 1839 m. Monemia Clementina Blankenship.
After marrying a 3rd time Mary took the name Burns back and was listed in the home of her son, Henry in the 1870 Panola Co. Census.
I would like to find some descendents of this SMITH family and share information. I also have information on the MORRIS family of Shelby and Panola Counties.
