Here is an obituary for Jesse's sister Margaret. It says her mother's name was Eva Lucille Gibson. The father's name is said to be Frankline Lafette Boone.

Graveside services were held in Menard Chapel Cemetery for Margaret Lucille Boone, 78, on Monday, May 10, 2004, with Bro. Frank Hood officiating.
She was born February 14, 1926 in Commerce, the daughter of Franklin Lafette Boone and Eva Lucille Gibson Boone. Mrs. Boone died Thursday, May 6, in Livingston Convalescent Center, Livingston. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Merle Boone, Earl Boone, Aubrey Boone and Jesse Boone; and sister, Lucille Rinehart.
Survivors include her brother, Bill Boone of Galveston; sisters, Deller Miller, Frida Vance and Hazel Williams, all of Houston; sister and brother-in-law, Arcellia and Junior Duff of Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Gerald Boone, Jesse Boone, Earl Boone, James Boone, David Boone and Frank Boone.
Cochran Funeral Home, Livingston, was in charge of arrangements.

Lafate's (Lafayette) draft registration card from Delta County, Texas, says that his birthdate was 23 Dec 1892. He was born in Oklahoma. One source said that his father was William Lafayette Boone and his mother Martha Medlin.

Although Eva Lucille Boone's maiden name is said to be Gibson (Gipson). I don't believe that is true. I find her and her siblings on the 1910 Hopkins County, Texas, census. Her stepfather's name is Thomas Gipson. Her mother's name is Catherine C. They have only been married about 6 months. The children are: Leslie J. (m) b. about 1894; Viola (f), b. abt 1896; Jesse J, (m). b about 1898; Eva L (f), b abt 1901; Iviah (f), b about 1903, Minnie B, (f) b. about 1904, and Wade T, (m) b. abt 1909. All the children were born in Texas.

Also, Clarence Murl Boone and his twin Tom Earl Boone are buried in Menard Chapel Cemetery, Polk County, Texas. My mother, her parents, and many of her other relatives are buried in that cemetery. I was just there on Saturday. I have seen the graves of the Boones who are buried there.
