Isaac Blackman Webb and his wife Mary Hughes were two of the earliest Peter's Colony pioneers in Dallas County, Texas in an area that later became known as Farmer's Branch.

Many of the people from that community were buried in Webb Chapel Cemetery. In June of 2002, the Webb Chapel Cemetery Association is planning a reunion for descendants of anyone buried in the cemetery in honor of Isaac Webb's 200th birthday.

My husband and I have volunteered to do the research to identify the descendants of this community. I have discovered that several of them attended the McKenzie Institute run by J.W.P. McKenzie in Clarkesville in Red River County. I am enjoying learning about the history involved with the descendants I am researching and would love to know more about the McKenzie Institute.

Can anyone provide some info here or point me to a published source of info on the McKenzie Institute?

Anyone wishing to discuss this project with me personally can write me at webbchapel@aol.com
