I have two photos identified as taken in Clarksville, TX. One is in 1896, and the other is about 1900. The family of these photos, however, lived in Sevier County, Arkansas. I'm trying to figure out why they would have been in Clarksville, as this would have been a pretty good distance from where they lived, by their means of travel at that time. Can anyone shed some light on this? Was there something going on in Clarksville at that time that would have drawn them there?
