My grandfather was Earnest Dee Lard and was from the Lard family in Pampa and Miami. Texas. He died in 1975. We had some great photos of him and some of the cowboys out on the Lard ranch, under some trees -- some on horses, one or two lounging on the ground. My brother MAx sent them to one of our relatves up there after his death -- I wish we had kept a copy!
My grandfather was a wonderful man, kind and funny -- he had a horse he taught to do tricks! He moved to Taft, Texas (down by Corpus Christi) in 1921. I vaguely remember meeting some of his brothers and sisters up at the ranch, probably in the early 1960s.
I would love to get any information about my grandfather.
