Looking for any information on the J. A. FOSTER who married Mollie A. THOMPSON April, 1872 in Robertson County. I'm trying to ascertain his first name, but so far all of the records I've uncovered merely state "J. A." which may well be what he went by. I have a theory that he is the twin brother of my g-g-grandfather Joseph FOSTER who was orphaned before the age of two and was taken in first his uncle Henry A. FOSTER of (then) Madison Co., Mississippi and who later relocated to Milam County and then secondly by David Haines GARRETT of Carroll Co., Arkansas. On the 1880 census for Robertson County J. A. FOSTER's occupation is listed as bank clerk and before that in Brazos Co. as dry goods store clerk, which tallies nicely with his grandfather's occupation as a small store owner in Tennessee. Any and all information welcome. Thanks.
