I am looking for information on Elias Lafayette KING and his family. E. L. King (1828-1876) is buried in the King Family Cemetery near Geneva.

I believe he is the son of John and Elizabeth (DuBose) King. I would like to find more information on his parents, and also on his brothers and sisters and what became of them. Does E. L. King have any descendants living in Sabine County?

I would also like to find out if he has any kinship to the Seaborn HARRIS family, some of whom are also supposed to be buried in the King Family Cemetery (though unmarked).

E. L. King composed six songs that were published in The Sacred Harp song book in 1850. Did he continue any kind of musical "career" after coming to Texas? teaching? songwriting?

Thanks. Robert V.
