TURNER, Wayne Quinton, Principal and co-founder of Turner-Dale Associates (TDA), died suddenly at his home on Saturday, June 13, 1998. He will be missed by his wife Shina; his brother Steve Turner; his sister Barbara Turner Acker of Olympia, Washington and her three children; many friends all over the world.
Born in Abilene Texas on July 14, 1943, Wayne moved with his parents to Berkeley, California in 1948 and has since made the Bay Area his home.
A consummate perfessional, he worked hard for many years building a business on a foundation of Integrity, dedicated to the best interest of his penson fund clients. He was respected and admired by colleagues and associates in the field of real estate development and investment management.
He served his nation as an enlisted soldier with the proud 82 Airborne Division and saw action in the Belgian Congo in the early 1960's. Hserved seven years as a reserve officer in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, leading as many as 90 search and rescue missions in a single year on Bay and Delta waters.
Privately, Wayne was a man of deep interest in, and love for, the spirtual values embodied in Eastern and Native American cultures. He valued life, the wild, and the land. He will be remembered for his service to conservation .
