Diana G Salas, age 51, passed from this life on Monday, February 4, 2013 in Lubbock.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Salas will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 7, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Brownfield with Pastor Plutarco Garcia officiating. Burial will follow at Brownfield Cemetery in Brownfield. Personal services have been entrusted to Mark A. Jones Funeral Directors of Brownfield.

Diana was born May 7, 1961, to Juan and Filomena Garcia in Terry County, Texas. She married the love of her life, Ricky Salas on December 19, 1977, in Brownfield, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Brownfield.

Diana was an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan as well as a fan of her family. She was known as the #1 Fan. She attended all games that her husband, children, grand-children, nieces and nephews played in. She collected crosses and memorabilia for the Dallas Cowboys. She was very proud of her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Her family will remember how she kept up with everyone’s birthday and called or texted each one on their birthday.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 35 years, Ricky of Brownfield; 2 sons: Ricky G. Salas, Jr. and wife Janine of Lubbock, and Rocky Lee Salas of Brownfield; 2 daughters: Priscilla Ann Garcia and husband Ramon of Lubbock and Melissa Diane Salas and significant other Rockie Morin, of Sherman; 3 brothers: Juan Garcia Jr. of Midland, Arturo Garcia and Eddie Garza both of Brownfield; 11 sisters: Hilda Mancha of Odessa, Gloria Flores of Meadow, Estella Garcia of San Angelo, Martha Hernandez, Maria Garcia, Beatrice Rojas, Olga Miranda, Erlinda Reyna, Armelinda Salas, Irma Garcia and Esperanza Garcia, all of Brownfield. She was also blessed with 16 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters: Juanita Mungia in 2009 and Esmeralda Garcia in 2011.
