George W. Hutchings (29 May 1845 - 10 May 1908) wed Elizabeth (nee: Shamburger) (26 Dec 1851 - 5 Jan 1901). They're found 1870 TX-Wood-Quitman-Image 9 as surname "Hutchens". Next, 1880 Wood-Precinct 1-124-Image 43 as surname Hutchings. Lastly, 1900 Titus-Precinct 2-District 118-Image 31 as "Hutchins". His sister, Amaryllis, lived next door while brother, Thomas Benton, lived nearby. Sadly, most of their children died early. In 1900, seven were born but only two were still living. One of those survivors, Effie Lucille Hutchings (20 Jun 1889 - 12 Mar 1970), died in Houston, Harris County. Effie survived her husband, Andrew Claude Graf (20 Aug 1880 - 15 Oct 1946, who died in Shreveport, LA. He, Mr. Graf, was appointed Postmaster of Winfield in 1905. He was also an IRS agent. This family found 1910 Titus-Precinct 7-District 140-Image 18, 1920 Galveston-Texas-District 61-Image 26, 1930 Harris-Houston-District 81-Image 31, and 1940 Taylor-Abilene-(221-13)-Image 34. I get the impression the Graf(s) settled in Caddo Parish 'cause that's where Effie's body was interred. Some birth records of her kids: Claudia (1907), Olga Elizabeth (24 May 1911), Eva (1914), Clementina Marie (5 Feb 1916), and Andrew Jr. (13 Sep 1920). George and Elizabeth Hutchings have find-a-grave memorials in White Oak Springs Cemetery of Titus County. Their sons, John Q., Ernest A., and George L. are also interred there.
