Hawkins and Greene Co, TN.
Living(5,6): Letter to Bill Carpenter from Rev. R. S. Marshall-"At 18 years. of age, I
entered Southwestern Univ. at Georgetown, Texas, and that fall and in the spring
of 1907, I would go via train down to Austin and spend a weekend with Aunt Nancy
and Uncle Kate. They Lived in Austin, I think all their lives, after coming to
Texas. I think they came from Monroe, TN.
I knew their children: Worth Payne, Bogle Payne and daughters, Della and
Sarah(Sallie.) Sarah married a Falwell, and I ate noon meal with them in 1907."
