Hi,

The Black Cemeteries are indexed and listed on the tyler county, texas records web site, www.countygenweb.com/txmontgomery/tyler_county_records.htm.

Birth, marriage and death records are on file at the tyler county clerk's office, www.co.tyler.tx.us/default.aspx?Tyler_County/County.Clerk. Of course if you order a record from them you'll to pay the fee if they find it or not.

You should search for the info in www.familysearch.org first.

The following records are available on microfilm which your local library can borrow from the Sam Houston Regional Library Center, https:///www.tsl.state.tx.us/arc/local/tyler.html.

The genealogical society that was in operation in Tyler Co. appears to be defunct. I don't know if the county library will copy obituaries or not. Successful Searching!
