I'm related to the Barclays, McQueens, Mahaffeys, etc also.

I'm also related to the Morgans. I cannot find the parents of a James T Morgan, who married Elizabeth Durdin in Tyler County, Texas in 1859 and he died there in 1899... buried in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. His son, David Crocket Morgan married Bertha Morgan Barclay..... so she became Bertha Morgan Barclay Morgan. The family folklore was that the Barclays and Morgans were good friends and the Barclays named their daughter after them.... and then she ended up marrying one. :)

Would love to find more information on the Morgans.

Robert Barclay was my gr-gr-gr-grandfather and his son Walter Barclay was my gr-gr-grandfather. He's the father of aforementioned Bertha Morgan Barclay. I have found many records of other "soldiers" who fought in the Texas Independence War who claim they were in "Robert Barclay's Rangers".... although I have found no records online that Robert Barclay was indeed a Texas Ranger. I do believe that he was one of the first Texas Rangers but, I have yet to verify this. He died at a very young age: 39. He died in 1844 and is buried in Tyler County, Texas.
