Lafayette, Texas History
I am interested in the History of the Lafayette community. My dad, Earl James Miller, was born near there in 1922. According to his older sister, the doctor came out to the farm to deliver my dad and was killed in a buggy accident while returning to town. My dad's birth was never recorded and this was discovered when he joined the Navy during World War II. A delayed birth certificate was issued and my grandfather and aunt had to attest that the birth actually took place.Is there any published history of Lafayette?
