In your post about this family, you stated that Mary Cumbie was an orphan. She was the daughter of William Washington Cumbie and Harriet Elizabeth Breed and she was born in Alabama. She was about 3 years old when her father died. Later her mother and brothers came to Texas, If I am not mistaken, I believe she married James Leonard Vineyard in Alabama, and they came too at that time.
In 1880 Mary's mother Harriet Breed was living with Mary and James L. Vineyard and Family. The Cumbies are part of our family.
