Public trees lists date of death 22 May 1908 some say in Raisin, Victoria Co Texas. Wife Julia reported death date of 28 May 1900 Charco, Goliad Co, is listed in 1900 census. One death certificate for a Joseph Walker who died in Victoria County 22 May 1908 he was reported to be 80 years old.
His son James Alexander Walker, born 1862 TX, was in San Diego CA about the time of the reported death of his father, returned to Texas by 1920 settling in Liberty Texas where he died in 1953. His son Benjamin was in Goliad in 1910. Grandson John J McDonald returned to Halletsville, Lavaca county who was living with his grandparents in June of 1900.
John's mother, Josephine Walker, was born in MO married A. "Jack" McDonald born in LA abt 1855 and was widowed by 1880, John J was born in 1877, sister Martha A 1875 brother Ely F born 1876. Josephine and A J McDonald married Lavaca Co 29 May 1873. I assume A. "Jack" was Andrew Jackson McDonald ?
