I am trying to find the cemetery J. D. White is buried in. I can find all sorts of references saying he died in 1899 in Victoria, that his memorial was marked and in the capable hands of the Daughters of the Confederacy until at least 1904, but other than that I can't locate a thing on him. I'm looking to see if his wife Mary B. White ended up buried next to him, as I cannot find her after 1910, though I'm told she was still alive after 1927 and probably until 1930 when her granddaughter met her.
James died in Victoria, was buried in Victoria. He served in Ross Brigade Co H 3rd TX Cavalry from 1861 until the close of the war. He was a prisoner of war at Camp Chase, Ohio. He also served in the Mexican War.
Any help with pinpointing his burial location is greatly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance!
