James Nicholas Dinkins was my husband's grandmother's grandfather. We have been trying to trace his roots prior to coming to Texas. He and Lucia were married in Alabama and are show in the 1860 and 1870 census. He was from SC and Lucia McDonald Dinkins was from Georgia.
