I am a volunteer researcher for the Texas Peace Officers Memorial. Dallas Morning News (20 Nov 1900; 6 Dec 1900; 11 Oct 1901; & 23 Aug 1902) report that Waller County Constable Precinct 6 D A CABEEN was killed by Professor J W Gallion & 4 others. The case was moved to Harris County. The next mention was that Tom SEBER was tried and it was his second mistrial. Any info on the incident; date of birth, place of burial, family history on CABEEN; and dispositon & names of those accused of his murder would be appreciated.
