I'm looking for any information on the FARR and CLOUD families of Waller county in the latter 1800s.

In 1886 Joseph FARR was editor of the Hempstead Courier. James Cloud, a Waller county justice of the peace, shot and killed him May 5, 1886.

Two years later, Farr's brother Napoleon B. FARR was also shot and killed.

Joseph and Napoleon Farr were apparently married to sisters, both daughters of H.G.W. Cloud who had held public office in Austin and Grimes counties. James Cloud who killed Jos. Farr was a brother to the Cloud sisters.
