It gets better! Last night I read Texassis' response and decided to visit the family tree. Like to submit some updates? Minnie's maiden name was, possibly, "Bearden/Beardon"? That info found on her death certificate filed as Mrs Sam Lain (14 Sep 1871 - 13 Sep 1947). The informant was Mrs C. L. Moore aka Ina Viola. View/print the certificate https://familysearch.org/ Puzzled by the inability to locate Minnie with parents/siblings? Evidently, Minnie married J. D. Modglin (13 Jul 1892-El Paso) prior to Sam Lain. That date also found familysearch. Jack Dan Modglin (ca. 12 Nov 1896) was the product of Minnie's earlier marriage. He's a "true mystery"! Found 1900 and 1910 census, he registered for WWI Draft in Briscoe County. Subsequently, he's found 1925 Amarillo Directory. Then, nothing on him or wife, Minnie P.! Updates for Texassis' tree: John William Lain (14 Dec 1889 - 10 May 1966), Elsie Moore (2 Apr 1892 - 1 Jan 1986), and Ina Moore (14 JUn 1895 - 27 Dec 1988). OBTW! You have the wrong Roy Lane lifespan on your tree. Your ancestor, Roy Sam Lane (2 Aug 1904 - 25 Oct 1980).
