I am seeking info re James Helton b. 1845 in MS & d. 10 Oct 1939 in Wise Co., TX.

The James Helton is am researching was the son of Peter Helton b. abt. 1815 in TN & Thursy McCoy b. 1825 in TN. James was b. abt. 1845 in Tishomingo Co., MS.

According to family stories, James Helton married Nancy Ann Robinson. They lived in TN until abt. 1890 then settled in Wise Co., TX. I am trying to verify that this is the correct James Helton.

I found James, Nancy & family on the 1900 Census Justice Precinct 4 Wise Co., TX.

Are obits from the 1920's & 1930's avaialable? If so, what is the source.

I tried the links for death certificates & obits on USGenWeb for Wise Co., TX, but was unable to access the links to make a request for some reason or another.

I would appreciate any helpful suggestions.
