I have a request for Wise county. Does Wise county have any old newspaper back to late 1800's? I am looking for an obit or funeral notice for my great great grandfather Rev Franklin D Galloway who died Dec 29,1896 in sunset, texas. I was told that sunset used to be part of Wise county. he was very active in the methodit churh there.
He is buried in Symra cemetery or something like that in montague county, TX. He is buried next to his second wife JoAnn Nicholls Galloway. I had been told that his headstone was broken off at the base.
