Surnames: Whitton/Hudson/Brown/Smith
Are there any marriage records for the El Paso, Texas area in 1889? I am looking for info on a J. C. Whitton and his wife listed as Lavada Whitton on the 1900 El Paso, El Paso Co., Tx census. Her given name might have actually been Nevada and surname Hudson or Brown at the time of marriage. The child in the household in the 1900 census lived in El Paso the rest of her life. I cannot find any death record on the Lavada/Nevada. It is possible she remarried before 1906 and her last name was Smith. Also J. C. was listed as a railroad laborer in the 1900 census. Do you know if there are any records for railroad laborers from 1900?
