The Hopkins family moved from North Carolina to Arkansas to Texas, arriving c. 1850. Seeking names and descendents of their 12 children, some born in Parker County. Martha Ellen Hopkins (daughter) married Joseph William Franklin Smith. Frances, youngest child (Fannie) born 1865, married Sam Long, was widowed, then married Henry Bell Lovett and moved to the Panhandle. My husband, William Henry Yoes is the great grandson of Martha Ellen Hopkins Smith.
