Lisa, your statement - "Anne's maiden name was suppose to be Whatley."

F[Franklin] M Stringer's death certificate says mother was Wattey or Mattey, hard to read. Were Anne and Lucinda sisters or coincidental they were borth born Alabama and said their parents were from South Carolina. If they were not sisters they were cousins or Lucinda was married to a Whatley who died before 1850 but marriage record does not note she was Mrs. Lucinda Whatley. This gets more interesting - Paula

Wm and Lucinda Whatley Stringer family found in Newton Co MS in 1860 listed as Strenger.

James W Daniel found in Fisher county which is where James and Herbert Stringer were found in 1910 but the Daniel family is not there, most of them wind up in Amarillo, Potter county.
