I am trying to find birt and death records for my great grandmother. I know she was born in New Mexico abt 1885. She is buried in El Paso, Tx she died in 1954. I can't seem to find a death certificate for her so I am not sure if she actually died in el paso but she is buried in El paso.

She married Antonio Vigil he was born in 1855 in Texas and his parents were born in Mexico.

I don't know either ones parents names. this is where I am stuck.

I am trying to find information on my mother. I know her name was Desiree Antoinette Carlton. I think she was born in Arizona on March 20, 1956. She married my father Manuel Chavez in New York. They divorced when I was three or four and we lost touch when I was five. In the process of trying to find her, I found out she had moved around a bit, living in New York, South Carolina and finally Texas. It is in Houston that I found out she passed away of cancer on June 30, 2003. When she died she had the last name of Punckowski from a previous marriage.
If anyone has any kind of info, it would be greatly appreciated.

I have been researching my Anglin family line since 2004. Apparently My gggrandfather and grandmother William J and Nansy S(Green)Anglin moved to Truxno Louisiana and then to Caledonia Arkansas from Carthage Mississippi(Leake County)in the late 1890's or the early 1900's. What happened to his brother and sisters I have no idea. I assumed that they stayed in Miss. If you have any info or any stories on this family I would love to know about it. Inparticularly would like more info on Jefferson and his family origins. All I have is a birth date which is 1825 in Italy. A possible immigration date (1857) and a story that he and a brother(name is unknown) who stowed away from Italy to America. The brother was said to have moved somewhere in Texas. Would love to connect pieces with that line of the family as well. Apparently Jefferson Anglin my ggggranfather wound up in Mississippi. I'm pretty much at a standstill, since i dont have a credit card to assess more info on the genealogical sites on the internet.

I am new to this so please bear with me and forgive me if I ask a lot of questions. I am trying to locate information on my great grandfather George Allen White Sr. He was born August 26, 1890 in Sherman Texas and died on September 10, 1978 in Tulsa Oklahoma. He married Mary Francis Pruett (or possibly Pruitt. I do not know when or where they got married but she died in Febuary of 1970. They had Luther Glenn, (Johnny, Ronnie, and Dera were alldied before 1947). Then they had Ralph Henry who would later become George Allen White Jr. upon enlisting in the Army. When he enlisted he was 17 and Great Grandpa signed the papers George Allen White instead of Ralph Henry White. This is my Grandfather. He was born April 17 1922 in Oklahoma City Ok and died April 29 2000 in Del City OK but may be listed as Oklahoma City. He married Opal Viola Williams on September 10 1944 in Stroud or Konowa or Oklahoma City. I am unsure. They had five children Harold D., Loretta F, Nina Faye, Robert L, and Norma J. Nina Faye is deceased and buried in Sunnylane cemetery in Oklahoma City. My grandmother was born February 18 1926 in Ladonia Texas and died July 9 2004 in Oklahoma City. Her Grandpa and Nina are all buried in Sunnylane Cemetery.

In the 1910 census, one of my relatives is listed as an "inmate" in "TX, McLennan, Waco, Ward 6". He is actually 10 years old then, and an orphan. Of course, many other kids are listed also. I would like to see if I can get records to find out when he was placed there, but I have no idea how to do that or where I might find them, or if the place had a name. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't have any info on them except that their daughter married in Comanche Co, TX in July 1912 - said she was born in TX in May 1892. Family believes Mary & John married around 1885. Mary Elizabeth died before the daughter married in 1912. I can't find them in any TX Census or U.S. Census. Believe either one or both may have had Comanche - Parker and Otoe - Moore. Did they count Indians as white or black in the census? I found a lot of Moores - black and mulatto. I'm really stuck - any help would be appreciated.

I am new to this so please bear with me. I am searching for information on my maternal sidde of the family. All I know about my great grandfather White is that his name was George A. White Sr. and he was born in Sherman TX on August 26, 1890. He died September 10, 1978/1979 (I am usure of which) in Tulsa OK. He had a son named Ralph Henry White, my grandfather,born April 17, 1922. Ralph would later become George Jr. when he lied about his age and went to enlist in the Army and GGrandfather signed his name in the wrong place. Granpa would marry Opal Viola Williams of Ladonia TX on September 10,1944. Grandma was born in Ladonia TX on February 18, 1926 and she died July 9, 2004 in Oklahoma City OK. Grandpa would die before her also in Oklahoma City OK on April 29, 2000. All I know about grandma's parents are their names. Her father was Waletr Charles Williams date of birth and place unknown. He married Eva Mae Gates date of birth and place also unknown. I believe after ggrandpa either passed away or divorced her ggrandma would go on to marry a man named Driver. My only link to Mike and Theresa is a picture taken in 1934 where the couple looks to be in their 50's or older. They lived in Texas. My g.g. grandfather was Mike's brother, Leno Jerome Phillips, whose name was changed when he came to the U. S. - possibly from Trento, Italy. Leno Jerome lived in Memphis, Tenn. One of their daughters, Virginia, married a Heusinger and owned a vineyard. Heusinger owned hardware store in San Antonio. One son, Steve, worked on the Hoover Dam. Another son, Mike, may have been an engineer. Possibly lived in El Paso, Stockton, or San Antonio. Is this familiar to anyone?

They got married in Arlington TX on 05/26/1962 at the North Arlington Baptist Church. They lived in Tarrant County but went to visit his family in Mt. Pleasant TX prior to the wedding. I am trying to find information on my great grandmother's parents. All I have is S.L.Winn and Victoria they were either married or are buried in Wolfe City Texas. My great grandmother was an only child and her mother died when she was tiny. She knew only that her mother died in 1893 or 94 when she was a tiny baby still on the breast. Her mother died of spinal miningitus not long after she was born. The date of her birth is 7 December 1893 and her name was Cora Louella Winn she died in 1977 in Dallas Tex.

I have been trying to research my ancestors who were married in America City(Belize City), Brittish Honduras(Belize), I recently found a book in the LIMITED ACCESS section of the Dallas Public Library that told the whole story of Confederates who had moved to Belize in search of a better and freer life. Both of my ancestors who married eachother in Belize were both born in hard core confederate states that had a lot of people move to Belize. They were married in 1887, but one of them was married to FOUR women at the same time because he's a Native American, and in certain tribes you can have eight at one time.

I know that the others were one Native Mexican, one Native Belizean, and one Native Cuban. And there is no proof of which wife is actually my blood ancestor. He also used alias names and identities because he was a fugitive wanted in Texas, who also ran a gold mine in Tampico, Tamjualipas, Mexico. Then he moved to Texas with his wives and children. No telling which child is with wich wife, and many were born in Belize. Who even knows his real name before it all.

I am on the hunt for information about my father's side of the family. I am trying to find any information about the relatives of Clyde Theophoulis Campbell and his wife Pauline Blanch (Johnson) Campbell. Clyde was born in Center, TX and moved from there to Waller and ended up in Cleveland where he and his wife are now buried.

Clyde's parents were Margaret (might be Murry or Morgan) and Bessie Campbell of Center, TX.
He had 4 siblings:
David who i think was born in 1895
Carroll (not sure if it is a brother or sister yet) born around 1897.
Frank...age unknown
Walter..age unknown.

Clyde and Pauline had a son (my grandfather) Clyde Tatum Campbell and from what i have been sent lately maybe children from Pauline's previous significant other. There names were Tom B. Threadgill (age 6) and Thelma B Johnson (age 20) according to the 1930 census in Waller, TX.

Any information would be greatly appreciated and would help me get info to my father who knows almost nothing about his side of the family.

Searching for the *beginning* of a story: Here is the *ending*:
The Gipson/Gibson boys from around the area of Putnam County, Georgia (or so I am told) left there with their young sister Margaret Elizabeth Gipson (b. in 1815 in SC according to census records) in tow to go and *fight for Texas*. They got as far as Alabama, and ran out of money, leaving their young sister with the family of William Greenberry LEE as a bond servant in exchange for money to travel on. Maybe they planned to return..however, they did not, and we do not know their names.
Margaret was *set up* in a little shack-house in the side yard of the Lee home, and there she lived and bore three children, John, Caroline, and Celia GIPSON. (*John is my ancestor). As the story goes, these children were actually *Lee's*. Time passed, and supposedly William Greenberry Lee's wife helped arrange a marriage for Margaret with a widower named Timothy TYNES who had a lot of children. The first three children of Margaret's remained with the Lee family..and she then bore several Tynes children, and later moved to Louisiana. I have been searching for years to find information on the Gipson brothers who went to Texas..and am finally able to do so via the internet! I have recently uncovered a possible family secret. My family has always believed that my great-grandmother on my father's mother's side was Sarah Ann Brown Wright, a woman much loved by everyone. However, I found birth records on here for my grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Wright, from Texas...not the state of North Carolina where we thought she was born. The date matches her current age but the month and day is different (not a big surprise if it's a secret). The birth father in the records is indeed my great-grandfather, Walter Worth Wright.

The mother on the birth record is Grace Elizabeth Rigester. I have found no other document with that name anywhere on this site.

My grandfather passed away from cancer before I was born and my grandmother is in ill health mentally and physically so I don't dare ask her about this. My aunt who is in charge of her estate who probably has the only documentation or knowledge of this matter has cut off contact with everyone else in the family. My great-grandparents both passed away before I was a teenager. I am the first in my Dad's family to have researched the family and apparently the first one to learn about this birth record.

Does anyone know of or have any information on Grace Elizabeth Rigester? Also, if you have any suggestions on how to proceed with the search from here that would be great....I'm stumped! I new at this and pretty much lost.

I am having trouble finding the parents of Charles Millard Jones born Oct 21 1884 in Texas. In 1918 he lived in Amarillo, Tx with his wife Jessie Vida Washam Jones (1891 - 1948), children: Carl A; Cecil M; Reuben Charles born 1916; and Addie Mae (Rainwater). In Amarillo, CM Jones worked as an auto mechanic. It appears that he may have been dead before 1948 since his sister gave the death certificate information for Jessie who died in 1948. Anthony is my Great Great Great Grandfather. I have little information on him and his family. I do know he was married to Lusinda. I don't have her last name, but I have a possible middle initial, which is C. She was born in 1818 Alabama, and died in 1900. Also on a copied page taken from the 1840 Robertson County, Republic of Texas, Census, there shows to the right of Anthony's name a "1" in the first column, and then in a third column "7 sl 1 watch." I have no clue what they might stand for, unless 7 slaves and 1 watch(pocket) possible. Any information on Anthony and his family would be greatly appreciated. Also any information on his and her parents and so on. My grandfather said that our last name used to be Owens and somewhere down the line changed to Owen. Any info on that is welcomed.
