I reolize your post is a few years old now, So I can only hope you read this reply.
I found out after my mother passed away in 1985 that she was an adopted child. There's not much info but what I do have is;
Date of birth,Dec 24,1919
Baby's name, Christine
Mothers name, Estelle Gronberg
Fathers name N/A
Place of birth, Rockland Massachusetts
Place of adoption, Dorchester Ma.
Is it possible the mothers name was Ellen instead of Estelle?
Well that's all I've got right now.
I'll cross my fingers and hope that you'll be the one who sheds some light on my mothers story.
