Wallace Elwyn Roberts, 81, died June 21, 2005 at his home
in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born January 27, 1924 in Houston Texas, to Samuel and Neva Roberts. Wally married Vernice Beam on November 3, 1946 in Peru, Indiana
Wally met his wife in Hawaii while serving in the United
States Navy for three years as an aviation machinist mate.
Wally and his brother Glenn established the “Heritage Center”
in Kanab, Utah. They were also responsible for the building up
of the Clark Bench area. Wally loved Lake Powell, so much that he build a 26' cabin cruiser from scratch which he
named “She’s Mine”. He christened her in 1972 and she is still
running strong, this is one of his many accomplishments in life. Wally is survived by his wife, Billie Roberts of Mesquite, Nevada; a daughter, JoAnn; a son, Gary; three grandchildren, Tina, Sean, and Kim; and his very special great grandchild, Ombra. He was proceeded in death by his brother, Glenn. Arrangements are under the direction of Virgin Valley Mortuary, Mesquite, Nevada.,
