Nancy Merlene Shumway Hancey- Our wife, mother, grandmother,sister and friend, returned home to our Heavenly
Father on September 18, 2005. She was given to this earth by her beloved Father in Heaven to Merlin and Ruth Shumway and she grew up in Kanab, Utah.

Mom had a beautiful wayabout her and everywhere she
went she made friends instantly.Her time on this earth was always spent in the service of others.She will be greatly missed and survived by her eternal companion
Max G. Hancey of Bountiful, her three children Michael K.
(Cathy) Hancey of Port Washington, Wisconsin, Jill (Jay)
Elliott of Springville, Carolyn (Robert) Wiechert of Granger,
her beautiful grandchildren Tara, Dylan, Angie, Rachel,
Elizabeth, Cody, Erin, Rebecca and Jenna. She is also survived by her sister Dee Lunden of Phoenix, Arizona, and by many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death, and welcomed into the next
world by her parents, brother and sister-in-law Roden G. and
Naomi Shumway, brother-in-law Ted (E.T.) Lunden, grandson
Benjamin Max Hancey and nephew Phillip M. Christensen.

Funeral services were held on Saturday September 24, 2005 at the Bountiful 16th Ward Chapel with interment in the Kanab
City Cemetery.Funeral directors Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary
