John Cox, 71, 851-10th Est, died Oct. 6, 1975, in a Salt Lake hospital of heart failure.

Born May 29, 1904, County Tyrone, Ireland. Married Edith Smith La Bronte Aug. 18, 1953, Salt Lake City. Retired bartender. Member bartender's union.

Survivors: wife; stepsons, stepdaughters, Mrs. Charles (Janet) Matthias, Murray; Willard L., La Bronle, Boise, Idaho; Mrs. Patrick (Susan) Crawford, Mesa, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; brothers. Owen, Ireland; Patrick, New York.

Funeral Friday 2 p.m., 260 E. South Temple, where friends call Thursday 6-8 p.m. hour before services. Burial Salt Lake City Cemetery.
