My grgrgrandfather was David Morgan Lewis an older brother of Morgan & Daniel Lewis of Summit County. Renae Beal I spent about 4 and 1/2 hrs last week with Laura L. Lewis Scranton who wrote the book regarding Daniel Lewis and his two wives. (I think that was the book you mentioned in your reply to me) A very interesting person. She gave me a copy of the book. I find it most interesting as all of my grgrgrandfathers brothers and sisters are mentioned in it but she did not know that my grgrgrandfather existed and he was the second son of Joseph Lewis. I am still in Vegas and will be going back to Iowa next Wednesday. I found Francis, Kamas and Marion a very interesting place and looked with wonderment as to how these people came across those mountains. I did not get to go to the Library in Salt Lake but am going to the regional library here in Vegas tomorrow. Be happy to exchange what info I have with anyone interested but will not be for a week as I am not at home.
