Gggrandparents Samuel Joseph Campbell & Clarissa Rebecca Francis Hall.

Their son James Heber Campbell married Sarah Alois Henry 1881. James &

Sarah had 10 living children. 2nd oldest born Oct 1883 was Sarah

Clarissa Campbell, my grandmother. Her 2nd marriage was to a John

Augustus Dunn Jan 1900. John died Feb 17, 1914. I saw a newspaper

obituary of his death. Said he was buried in Myton Cemetery. I requested

dc but was told there was none. Does anyone have any connection to this

family? I would certainly appreciate any help I can get.Thank You.

a battle around the area of Fountain Green in 1844 or 1845. Leifhead is

her adoptive parents' name. The Leifhead's moved to southern utah and no

Hannah was my great great grandmother who settled in Vernal in about 1880, the whole family came from England. Husband Thomas and children Jessie, Dinah,Harriet, Ann, William and Fanny. Hannah died in 1902. The children were from her first marriage and may have had the last name of Weaver.

My gggrandfather, Lars Johan Augustson, immegrated to the Utah from Sweden on a Mormon sponsored ship in 1869. The next record that I know about is for being jailed for 6 months [April 1892] for u.c. [family myth stated that Lars had two wives]in Vernal, Uintah. I spent 3 hours last night at a local Family Center trying to find additional info about him. I found an entry that is probably about him and the others that travelled with him--they probably left Sweden from Goteborg (small town of Finnerodja, Skaraborg). I've ordered the church records for that area for 1845-1871. Now I have to wait for two weeks. Is there somewhere else I could be looking? The 1890 census is not available here for me. Thanks for any suggestions.

Friendship quilt squares believed for Vera Barrow.
There is a square that says VERNAL 1930
I believe that’s Vernal Utah. I searched all 50 states
And that’s the only Vernal I found.
The squares were bought in Auburn Alabama by Charlene Moore.
Her post are in the Dodson Board under ‘’Quilt’’.
I have the quilt squares now and have checked with
every resource I have and so far have not found anyone related
to these people whose names are on the squares.

I am attempting to find the descendants of George S. Hughes b. 12 Jan 1865, Sanger, Denton Co., TX to John J. Hughes and Manerva Jane Murphy. I found an FHC file containing information leading me to believe that George came to Vernal some time before 1893. It shows a marriage to Julia Eliz. HULLINGER (d/oWinfield Scott Hullinger and Anniel DAVIS) on 16 Jun 1894 and well as a death date of 1895 for George. During that brief time, the record says that two daughters were born: Emma Eliz. and Georgia Ann (born after her fathers death). Again, according to the FHC record Juia E. remarried (a Mr. GARNDINER) and the girls grew up,lived and died in Vernal.I have not been able to find any documentation for this information so far but would appreciate any information which might lead me to documentation and possible descendants.

Joseph Depew & Wealthy Elmer (m.1843) died somewhere in IA. Their two boys William & John settled in and around Payson area. Some of their descendants moved north to Alberta Canada where I am. My aunt, Chlora Hancock Burkes Forrer, was married to Henry Forrer, and was known to have lived and died in Gusher, Utah. Henry was listed in the SSI death index as having died in Vernal, Utah. Am attempting to locate place of death of Josef Merkle who died from gunshot on Aug. 13, 1894 and according to German death notice at a location called "Marysoole" Uinta.
Possible mis-spelling of place name.
Also want to locate a John M. Wanner who may be related.
Both purchased property in Yuma and Washington Counties in Colorado in 1891 and 1916.

Looking for family and additional information on Carrie Marie Rasmussen Watkins who died 21 Apr 1936 in Carbon Co. but believe to be buried in Vernal. Carrie married Orlan Watkins 1928-- had known daughter, Darla D. b. 1930.
Orlan Watkins b. 1906 in Vernal - died 1996.

Carrie's parents are: Annie Mortenson & Andrew Rasmussen.

After Carrie died (1936), Orlan Watkins married Lucille Hasler who died Nov. 2001.

I am trying to find the parents names of Jonathan J Moyes Murray. He married Emily Hollingshead on the 11 of February 1902 in Uinta County. John was born in Spanish Fork in about 1883(maybe Nov. 1882). They had one daughter, Emma Nippon before they divorced. John then appears to have married Verlia and had five more daughters, Thelma, Thelda, Sarah, Alberta and Verlia. I would like to correspond with someone from the second family in hopes of discovering John's parents names. The 1900 census has a Jonathan living with his partner, Hyrum S. Murray age 19.

We know his death date as being March 15, 1945. He was killed in World War II and buried in Belgium. His wife was Opal Bromley. They had three sons together, still living, and she remarried and had other children as well.

I am searching for a marriage certificate for Joseph Rueben
AUGUSTON [AUGUSTSON on Vernal baptism certif], married to Edna Alice HOOPER approx 1908, either in Vernal, Uintah Co, or Salt Lake City--don't know which one. His parents were Mormon [he was 3rd child of 3rd wife--father Lars was polygamist]. I don't know if she was a Mormon, or if they had a Mormon ceremony. The LDS don't appear to have records of him entered in the data base--I found the baptism certif for him and two siblings looking in old records that I requested.
I seem to have hit a brick wall, both for the marraige date and location, and any info on Edna HOOPER.
